Verena primarily advises companies on their intellectual property rights with special focus on patent rights.
Verena has extensive experience within:
- Patentability evaluations, drafting of patent applications, and patent prosecution of patent applications
- Evaluating and ensuring clients’ Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) in their markets in relation to their competitors’ patent rights, using tools such as FTO analyses, infringement opinions, legal challenges etc.
- Integration of patent rights in the business strategies of the client and the practical organisation of these rights; assisting in litigation cases regarding patent disputes in Scandinavia.
Verena joined Guardian IP Consulting as a partner in 2011. She comes from a position as a consultant at large Danish IP firm, where she has advised Danish and foreign companies for nine years.
Verena has worked as a researcher and research manager in the Carlsberg Research Centre before she started her career as an IP adviser.
