Thomas has many years of experience as an “In-House Patent Attorney” from several Danish companies within medical devices and software, where he has advised on patentability, risk analysis in relation to third-party patents, as well as in connection with acquisitions and mergers.

Thomas primarily handles clients’ interests within the technology areas: Physics, telecommunications/IT, medical devices, optics, mechanics and nanotechnology.

Thomas has extensive experience within:

  • Strategic consulting within innovation with special focus on patent-related aspects
  • Analysis of technology for patenting purposes
  • Commercial aspects of IP
  • Preparation of patent applications and international case processing of patent applications
  • Oppositions, infringement analyses and freedom-to-operate

Thomas started his career as a Patent Attorney in 2006 and started as a consultant at Guardian IP Consulting in October 2024.
